Berman’s Blueberry Pie Crumble

Recipe from Jon and Audrey:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/4 pound softened butter
  • 1 box of blueberries
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp of melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • ice water
  • 1/3-1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Mix the 1.5 cups of flour, 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/4 lb softened butter in a bowl with a fork until crumbly.
  2. Add 2 tbsp of ice water, to help it crumble (can add more if necessary).
  3. Split the crumble in half. Press half of it into the pie plate to make a crust.
  4. Put the washed blueberries in the pie.
  5. Mix the sugar, cinnamon and 2 tbsp of flour in a bowl, then pour over the blueberries.
  6. Cover the pie with the other half of the crumbles.
  7. Dot the top of the pie with melted butter and sprinkle with lemon juice.
  8. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
